mind the age gap
TX 2017 / 5 x 60" / Channel 5
A new fixed rig social experiment where 12 strangers - six youngsters under 30 and six OAPs, with vastly opposing cultural and political viewpoints - move into a house to find out if they can bridge the ever-widening generation gap.
Our younger generation view their older peers as out of touch, set in their ways and overly nationalistic. And they’ve bagged all the nation’s assets. The older generation moving in with them see their youthful companions as self-centered, unpatriotic and hedonistic - with an attitude to match. What happens when two sets of headstrong and opinionated characters – from two very distinct worlds – collide?
Dr Hamira Riaz , a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, is on hand to deliver insight into how these distinct social tribes work and what their actions really tell us about them.
